Staffing Assistant

DOUGH
Full-Time
London, Hybrid
£25 – 30K
Description

DOUGH is one of the UK's leading event staffing agencies, supplying exceptional teams to some of the country's biggest sporting events, music festivals, brand activations and live experiences. We pride ourselves on delivering outstanding people, exceptional service and seamless event operations for our clients nationwide. As we continue to grow, we're looking for an organised, proactive and ambitious Staffing Assistant to join our operations team.

The Role

Working closely with our Head of Staffing, Georgie Woodward, and the wider Staffing Management team, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day delivery of staffing operations.

This is a varied role combining administration, staffing coordination and on-site event delivery. You'll help ensure our staffing processes run smoothly, support payroll and compliance administration, and assist in delivering large-scale events across the UK.

No two days are the same. One day you'll be coordinating hundreds of staff for a major sporting event, the next you'll be supporting payroll, onboarding new team members or working on-site to ensure an event runs seamlessly.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being organised, thrives in fast-paced environments and wants to build a career in live events and operations.

Key Responsibilities

Staffing Administration

  • Support the Staffing Managers with the recruitment, booking and coordination of event staff.
  • Assist with staff scheduling and shift allocations.
  • Communicate with staff regarding event information, timings and logistics.
  • Maintain accurate staffing records and databases.
  • Support the onboarding of new staff, including right-to-work documentation and compliance checks.

Payroll & Operations Administration

  • Assist with weekly payroll administration.
  • Process timesheets and attendance records.
  • Support invoice preparation and operational reporting.
  • Maintain accurate administrative records across staffing systems.
  • Help ensure all compliance documentation is completed and up to date.

Event Delivery

  • Attend major sporting events, festivals and live events across the UK.
  • Support Staffing Managers with event setup and staff registration.
  • Assist with staff briefings and on-site coordination.
  • Help resolve operational issues quickly and professionally.
  • Ensure a positive experience for both staff and clients.

Team Support

  • Work closely with the Head of Staffing and Staffing Managers to ensure successful event delivery.
  • Provide administrative support across the operations team.
  • Assist with project planning and event logistics.
  • Identify opportunities to improve internal processes and efficiency.

What Success Looks Like

Within your first 12 months you will:

  • Become a trusted member of the staffing operations team.
  • Support the successful delivery of major sporting and music events across the UK.
  • Help ensure staffing administration and payroll are accurate and completed on time.
  • Build strong relationships with our workforce and clients.
  • Contribute to improving operational processes as the business continues to grow.

Career Progression

At DOUGH, we're committed to developing our people. This role provides a clear pathway into a Staffing Manager position, with increasing responsibility for client management, staffing strategy and event leadership as you gain experience.

What We Offer

  • £25,000–£30,000 salary depending on experience.
  • Opportunity to work behind the scenes at some of the UK's biggest sporting and music events.
  • Clear progression into Staffing Management.
  • Hybrid working with travel to events across the UK.
  • A supportive, ambitious and collaborative team environment.
  • The opportunity to build a long-term career within one of the UK's fastest-growing event staffing businesses.
